Seniors meal

GREENWOOD – Bethel Senior Citizens Club will gather at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Locke Mills American Legion Hall for a meeting and dinner. Cost is $7.50.

D of I meeting

RUMFORD – St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at St. Athanasius and St. John Church Hall. A memorial service for deceased members of the Daughters of Isabella will take place prior to the meeting.

Members should turn in ticket money for the Thanksgiving food basket. Canned or dry goods may be donated for the basket.

Committee members are Chairwoman Dru Breton, Joan Lepage, Eileen Chaisson, Janet Beaudet and Myrtle McKenna.

Church fair

RUMFORD – A Christmas fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at St. Athanasius St. John Church. There will be homemade wreaths, Christmas balls and a hot turkey luncheon starting at 10:30 a.m.; adults $6, seniors and children $4. For more information, call 364-2528.

Moontide event

RUMFORD – A Moontide Texas Hold’em Tournament will be held on Sunday, Nov. 18, with proceeds to benefit the 2008 Moontide Fourth of July Fireworks Festival. There will be $7,500 in prize money if 100 people attend. Cost to enter will be $105. The event will be held at the VFW Hall, 330 Waldo St. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. Call 364-2795 to reserve a seat.

Holiday fair

RUMFORD – A holiday fair will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Rumford Point Congregational UCC. Brunch will be available, and there will be baked goods, quilt raffle and crafts.
