BOSTON (AP) – Governor Patrick is heading to the first-in-the-nation presidential primary state of New Hampshire on Saturday.
The trip comes just three weeks after Patrick endorsed Illinois Senator Barack Obama in the Democratic race for the White House.
Patrick will rally volunteers in Nashua and speak at a house party in Danville.
Patrick’s endorsement is seen as a boost to Obama. Patrick and his supporters are just a short trip over the border. Obama is hoping to close a gap with Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton.
Patrick, who served in the Justice Department under former President Bill Clinton, said Obama represents a new generation of leadership.
Patrick and Obama share Chicago roots and both were black student leaders at Harvard Law School.
