FARMINGTON – A woman pleaded not guilty this week to receiving stolen property and violating bail conditions, the latter charge in connection with a burglary in New Vineyard earlier this fall.

Billie Jo McDonald, 20, of New Vineyard and two others are charged with breaking into a home Sept. 26, Franklin County Sheriff’s Lt. Niles Yeaton said. Among items taken were eight guns.

McDonald was accused Tuesday of possessing a stolen phone and violating bail conditions set in her burglary case, which prohibit further criminal activity. She pleaded not guilty to both charges Wednesday in 12th District Court.

After her release from jail Wednesday, McDonald was arrested on charges of criminal trespass and violating bail conditions for being a nuisance at the sheriff’s office and not leaving as asked, Yeaton said.

She pleaded not guilty to those charges Thursday and bail was set at $250 cash. A corrections officer said McDonald was still incarcerated Thursday night.

Seven of the eight firearms were found in woods in Madison this week. The eighth, a Glock handgun, is missing, Yeaton said.

Co-defendants Christopher Shulenski, 20, and Duane Clukey, 18, both of Madison, are also charged with the New Vineyard break-in, Yeaton said.

There is also a fourth suspect, he said.
