RUMFORD – The Rumford Lodge of Elks No. 862 held their annual Soccer Shootout at Hosmer Field on Sunday, Sept. 30. The shootout was open to all area boys and girls 13 and under.
Trophies were awarded to the first, second and third-place winners in each age group for boys and girls – 7-and-under, 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13. Soccer balls were raffled off to five lucky winners.
Every participant received a certificate, a purple ribbon of participation, an Americanism pencil, and a small soccer ball.
First-place winners advanced to the Central District Shootout in Augusta.
