Optimist Club Secretary/Treasurer Joan Godbout, left, is pictured presenting guest speaker Matt Randall with a copy of the Optimist Creed. Randall is a field director for the Boy Scouts of America, which has more than 1,000 members in the Lewiston-Auburn area. There are 24 Boy Scout troops and 23 Cub Scout dens in the area.
