This is in response to the letter from Barbara Kern (Nov. 6) regarding Zak Muzyka.

In my daily capacity of dealing with funeral homes, I have never found Muzyka to be disrespectful in any way. He works in a tough environment, dealing with sadness and loss on a daily basis. I would have no qualms going to Albert & Burpee Funeral Home and having him care for my family. He is a very caring and thoughtful man.

His employer should feel proud of Muzyka for the job he does. He performs many jobs outside the realm of what a funeral director does, and he does all of them well.

When Muzyka becomes a police officer, he will be more understanding to those families, due to the fact he worked in a funeral home. I believe he will make a phenomenal police officer.
