AUBURN – Flora Custeau Worthington St. Laurent, 83, died Saturday, Nov. 10, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Auburn, Feb. 17, 1924, she was a daughter of Aime and Yvonne St. Pierre Custeau. She was educated at Holy Family School and Ave Maria Academy in Sabattus.

She was employed at Dussault, Clark and Super Welby Pharmacy, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Ladies of St. Anne’s Sodality, Cercle du St. Sacrement, Association Canados Americaine, American Legion Auxiliary Post 22, Lewiston, Lewiston Senior Citizens, Horizon 55 and Covenant 50.

She served on the board of directors for Androscoggin Tri-County Mental Health. She volunteered many years for Little League baseball and Elliot Avenue Playground. She also volunteered 23 years for activity at Marshwood Nursing Home Rehabilitation Center. She also belonged to “The Tea Bag Club” card players.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Robinson and her husband, James, of Johnson City, Tenn. and Deborah Levesque of Lewiston; a son, Gerald Worthington and his wife, Sandra, of Lewiston; two stepdaughters, Joan St. Laurent of Fort Myers, Fla. and Linda Dubois and her husband, Fernand, of Lewiston; a stepson, Marcel Gagne and his wife, Jan, of Sabattus; five grandchildren, Lee Ann Godwin, Shawn, Keith and Ryan Levesque and Corey Worthington; three great-grandsons, Jordan, Bryson and Zachary Godwin; two stepgranddaughters, Stacy and husband, Tom Dion, of Derry, N.H., and Cindy and husband, George Gal, of Charleston, Mass.

She was predeceased by husband Laurier St. Laurent, who died Nov. 26, 1997; her mother, Yvonne Custeau Lebel; her father, Aime Custeau; and her stepfather, Rodrigue “Pete” Lebel.

Flora’s family would like to send a very special thank you to Dr. Seth Gordon, the staff at Marshwood Healthcare Center and the staff at The Hospice House.
