Bethel – Wyatt Wyckoff Bennett passed away on Nov. 11, following a tragic accident. Born May 30, 2005, he was the son of Jim W. Bennett and Robin Andacky Bennett.

Although Wyatt’s young age of just 2 years is considerably short, those who knew him were touched by his gentle nature and loving spirit.

His welcoming smile was exceptionally contagious and though his spoken words were few, his keen observation of all that went on around him assured everyone he understood much.

Wyatt was all boy. He could spend hours playing with construction toys, pretend riding motorcycles, playing with tractors or the like.

His mischievous grin will be well remembered by all and kept many alert as to what his next move might be. He enjoyed being outside and making trips with his mom to Screw Auger Falls and Snow Falls to watch the water and being held close and holding dear his little froggie and blanket.

He enjoyed time helping his father work on motorcycles and riding through wooded Jeep trails.

His compassion for others at such a young age was noteworthy as he would quickly offer a comforting hug to those he heard crying or found to be sad. Wyatt never shied away from affection, providing goodbye hugs and kisses to those he knew.

Wyatt’s brief time with us reminds us that life is worth celebrating. He will be deeply missed by all and will remain with us forever in our hearts.

Wyatt was predeceased by his brother, Samuel Ward Bennett; and his paternal grandparents, Peter Ward Bennett and Joan Hengartner Bennett.
