LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Nov. 12 with 34 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces.
The sick list included Joan Lauzier and Dora Slovak. Members recognized senior veterans, including Athanase Couture, Aurelien Couture, Joe Slovak, Eugene Roy, Eugene Pomerleau, Bill Chabot, Percy Ouellette and Jim Williams.
On Monday, Nov. 19, the group will have a noon Thanksgiving meal provided by members. The Jay Elementary School third- and fourth-graders will entertain at 1 p.m.
The 50/50 raffle was won by Athanase Couture. Betty Green donated three crocheted scarves that were won by Marilyn Desoto, Doris Demillo and Gloria Bickford.
The meeting was adjourned after which a successful Chinese auction was held. Cards and games were played.
