FARMINGTON – Sean Fry of Jay scored a game-high 26 points and led all rebounders with 10 boards to lift Maine-Farmington to a 64-61 men’s basketball victory over St. Joseph’s.

The Beavers (2-1) saw a 10-point lead with 16:41 left in the second half disappear when St. Joe’s went on a 15-2 run.

The lead see-sawed for several minutes until a tip-in by Fry and a 3-pointer by Matt St. John put UMF in front for good.

Mitch Ouellet led the Monks (0-1) with 13 points.

Colby 84, Thomas 58

WATERVILLE – Artie Cutrone scored 18 points and and added eight assists to as Colby won the battle of Waterville with an 84-58 victory over Thomas.

Colby (2-0) shot 9 for 15 from behind the 3-point arc.

Andrew Duncanson of Thomas (2-1) led all scorers with 25 points.
