Peru Extensionists make items for raffle

PERU – The Peru group of the Oxford County Extension Homemakers is holding a fundraising raffle for local charities.

The members have each donated homemade articles, including a large quilted Christmas stocking. Elaine Benedict of Peru has also constructed a Christmas quilt. Both items are on display at Mrs. B’s Store.

Chances are available at the store or from members. Tickets are 50 cents each or three for $1. The drawing will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Mrs. B’s Store.

The group meets at 10 a.m. the second Thursday of each month from September to June at the Peru Baptist Church, Main Street. New members are encouraged to attend and children are welcome to attend with their parents.
