STOW – Robert Roland Willey, 60, longtime resident of Harrison, died Nov. 17.
He was born in Bridgton Feb. 17, 1947, the son of the late Perley E. and Ruth E. (Brackett) Willey. He attended local schools and graduated from Bridgton High School in 1965, and had worked at Howell Laboratories Inc. as a machinist for several years. He had served his country during the Vietnam conflict from 1966 to 1970 in the U.S. Navy Aviations as a mechanic on A4’s on board the USS Oriskany. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion and AARP.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing and spending time with his sons.
He is survived by his two sons, Andrew Willey and Jennifer Smith of Bridgton and Christopher Willey of Portland; as well as many friends.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Roscoe, Stanley and Cecil Willey.
