NORWAY – Mildred P. Bellavance, 88, of Buckfield, died Nov. 18, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Buckfield on April 25, 1919, the daughter of Everett V. and Georgia E. (Warren) Pearson and was educated in Buckfield schools, graduating from Buckfield High School in 1936.
She worked at Cummings Cleaners from 1942 until 1953. She married Henry J. Bellavance on Oct. 11, 1952, and he died on Jan. 4, 1998. She was an avid reader and liked crossword puzzles and shopping.
She is survived by two daughters, Marcia Whitman and her husband, Donald, of Buckfield and Deborah Cooke and her husband, Donald, of Columbia, N.H.; a stepdaughter, Sandra Perkins of Buckfield; a daughter-in-law, Eleanor Pearson of Colebrook, N.H.; three sisters-in-law, Thelma Pearson of Auburn and Irene Pedro and Alice Devine, both of Massachusetts; five granddaughters; two grandsons; three great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; 11 stepgrandchildren; three nieces; and two nephews.
She was predeceased by one son, Warren E. Pearson; one brother, Rodney E. Pearson; one sister, Beatrice P. Keene; and one stepdaughter, Cynthia Newton.
