The New Auburn American Legion Post held an open house for veterans and guests on Nov. 11. Special visitors were Congressman Michael Michaud, Auburn Mayor John Jenkins and Peter Rogers, who represented Sen. Susan Collins. Rogers is the son of William Rogers, past national commander and from Post 153. The Maine Firefighters Association prepared “Firehouse Chili,” which was served to nearly 200 members and guests.
