I was reading the Lewiston education supplement in this morning’s paper and noticed some elementary schools got lots of press (Montello and Pettingill), while other schools such as Farwell barely got a mention, and Longley was unmentioned. I realize Longley is an inner-city school, but isn’t it even more important that we help that school as much as the other, better-supported schools in the community?
I don’t think it’s right to focus only on certain schools and not have a balanced report on all of the elementary schools in the city.
