Degree conferral

WALES – Webster Lodge 164, AF and AM, will hold a special communication at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, to confer the Entered Apprentice Degree on one new candidate at the lodge hall, 322 Centre Road. At 6:30 members will have a casserole supper in the dining hall. All members and regular Masons are invited.

Grange meeting

POLAND – Excelsior Grange 5 will meet at the hall on Harris Hill Road on Saturday Dec. 1. The business meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. when reports on the recent fair will be presented. Following the meeting and program, refreshments will be served. All Grange members and anyone interested in joining are welcome.

Open house

LISBON FALLS – The Lisbon Historical Society Archive Museum will hold an open house from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the MTM Center rooms 5 and 6, 18 School St.

The society will hold its annual Christmas party with a potluck supper and Yankee swap for members and guests on Wednesday, Dec. 12. A social hour will start at 6:30 p.m. with supper to follow at 7. Contact Secretary Dorothy Smith at 353-8510 to register for the party. Those taking part in the Yankee swap should take a $5 wrapped but untagged gift.

Fortier chapter

LEWISTON – The Dr. Paul Fortier Chapter 52, Association Canado-Americaine, will gather at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, in the Senior Citizens Room of the Multi-Purpose Center.

Included on the monthly meeting agenda is a discussion of plans for the chapter’s annual Christmas banquet, scheduled for noon Friday, Dec. 14, at Governor’s Restaurant. Guests of chapter members are welcome to attend the banquet at their own expense.

Cheer crop day

LEWISTON – Maine Event Cheer and Training Center will host a Crop ‘Til You Drop scrapbooking event from 2 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Jan. 5, at Maine Event Cheer on 2 Cedar St.

Proceeds will benefit the cheer athletes as they compete in several states.

Adults and teens ages 15 and older are allowed. Supper will be provided, along with raffles and door prizes. For more information, e-mail the Maine Event Parent’s Association at [email protected].

Auxiliary party

SABATTUS – The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 22 will not have a December meeting because members will hold a Christmas party at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Mandarin Restaurant, Sabattus Street. Members should take a $5 gift to exchange.
