RANGELEY – The Rangeley Rehabilitation and Wellness Pavilion is sponsoring a free seminar on Living (and Cooking) Gluten Free from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Pavilion, Dallas Hill Road.

The seminar will combine a learning experience about gluten intolerance and celiac disease – symptoms, foods to avoid, treatment and alternative grains, resources and recipes – with a cooking class using alternative grains and adapting recipes.

The program will be presented by Suzanne Dunham, who has given gluten free presentations and cooking sessions through the Goose-Eye Institute in Bethel, at the Common Ground Country Fair, Country Kitchen and other venues in Maine.

Dunham has spent years researching and learning to live with celiac disease. She is an herbalist focusing on nutrition, specifically, gluten intolerance.

The program will include handouts and recipes. Participants will also be able to sample the foods that are prepared.

To register for the seminar and for more information about the topic, contact Dunham at 665-2967 or by e-mail at [email protected].

Registration may also be made by contacting Sandi Dumont at 864-2775 or [email protected]. For directions, call the pavilion at 864-2900.
