DIXFIELD – A 1997 Chevrolet sedan driven by Martin A. Holmquist, 29, of Peru, sustained about $4,000 damage when he swerved to avoid a deer while driving north on Canton Point Road at 10:18 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25. Holmquist suffered minor injuries.

Damage to a bench at the Village Green park was reported on Sunday, Nov. 25. Pickett said several skateboarders were seen in the vicinity at the time.

He said police continue to investigate damage to the town’s Bicentennial Clock. Several hundred dollars damage was done a couple of months ago. Police have a suspect.
