CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – Workers displaced by the planned closure of the Wausau paper mill in Groveton, N. H., are getting some assistance from the U.S. Department of Labor.

The department has approved trade benefits for the 300 workers at the plant, which will shut down on New Year’s Eve.

Sens. Judd Gregg and John Sununu announced Tuesday that the benefits had been approved.

They say that the benefits include training services, employment counseling, and assistance with job search and health insurance costs.
