JAY – A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors was celebrated Monday for Placide A. Couture at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay preceded by prayers at Finley Funeral Home in Livermore Falls. Officiating was the Rev. Roger Chabot. Readings were done by Peter Couture and Nicole Couture and the eulogy was given by Mary Howes. Hymns were sung by the resurrection choir accompanied by Therese Therrien. Pallbearers were Arnold Couture, Jay Couture, Tony Couture, Barry Couture, Peter Couture and Mary Howes. Military units were represented by the VFW, Frank Mitchell, Post 3335 and AmVets, Post 33 both of Jay and American Legion, George Bunten, Post 10 of Livermore Falls. Flag was presented to the family by Neree Simoneau. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Livermore Falls.
