Fruit orders

OXFORD – The Oxford Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 259 Fore St. will take orders for fresh citrus fruit until Friday, Nov. 30, with a pickup date of Monday, Dec. 17. To order holiday variety packs, grapefruit, navels and tangerines, call 345-3814, 743-6673 or 743-6403. No calls will be accepted Friday evening.

Benefit supper

NORTH WATERFORD – A benefit supper for Robert Springer III and family will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the North Waterford Congregational Church, 5 Kezars Road.

The Springer family recently lost their Woodstock home to fire.

The cost for the buffet-style, all-you-can-eat supper is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. For more information or to volunteer to help, call Jennifer Morin at 583-4403.

Advent fair

PARIS – Trinity Lutheran Church’s annual Advent fair will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at 34 Buckfield Road., Route 117. There will be food, crafts, gifts, clothing, white elephant tables and an area for children to play or do crafts. There will be coffee, snacks and fellowship.

Lyme support

PARIS – A Lyme disease support group meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Hope and Healing Center, 52 High St. For more information, contact Tracy Poland at 674-3781.

Musical worship

PARIS – “Worship in Music” will be the focus of the 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Dec. 2, at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., Paris. Much of the music will be for the Advent season.

Forest Perkins, church organist, will play the organ, and Renee Wales will lead the Sunday school.

Brunch will follow the service in Good Cheer Hall. All are welcome.

Advent service

PARIS – Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, Paris, will celebrate the first Sunday of Advent on Dec. 2. Sunday school will start at 9 a.m. with worship service at 10:15 a.m. followed by coffee, refreshments and fellowship.

Advent worship

PARIS – First Congregational Church, 17 East Main St., Paris, will begin the Advent season Sunday, Dec. 2. Worship is at 10 a.m. and the Rev. Don Mayberry’s sermon will be “Hope in the Darkness.”

At 5 p.m., the church will hold special “Hanging of the Greens” service that will feature singing of the carols and special readings as the church is decorated for the Advent and Christmas season.

Along with the church choir, special music will include vocalist, Ed Gabrielson. The church is handicapped accessible and everyone is welcome. For more information, call the church office at 743-2437.

Santa’s breakfast

OXFORD – Pizza Hut will host Breakfast with Santa at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 15 and 16, and Saturday, Dec. 22, to benefit Christmas for Teens and Christmas for Kids.

Santa will make an appearance and there will be Christmas caroling. The menu will include breakfast pizza, cinnamon sticks and milk, juice, coffee or tea. The cost is $7 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, free for under 2.
