RUMFORD – Eldora G. Jones, 84, of Rumford and formerly of East Andover, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the Rumford Hospital.

She was born in Rumford on June 11, 1923, a daughter of Louis and Laura (Demerse) Cayer. She was married in Mechanic Falls on Dec. 29, 1945, to Sidney J. Jones, who died in Lewiston on Nov. 1, 2003.

Survivors include two sons, Sydney J. Jones of Andover and Roger Jones and his wife, Susan, of Gray; a daughter, Laura Piawlock of East Andover; a brother, Louis Cayer of Rumford; a sister, Lorraine Goddard of Connecticut; many grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.
