WEBSTER, N.H. – Rebecca L. Polland-VanDeParre, 50, of Webster, N.H., died on Nov. 18. She went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long battle with cancer.

She was born in Lewiston, on June 24, 1957. She attended local schools in Casco, and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1975.

She had a love of life, people and family. She loved to work, listen to country music, cheered for Earnhardt in NASCAR racing, loved to read and garden. She loved driving down country roads looking for moose, deer or any wildlife. She enjoyed watching the birds at her country home in New Hampshire.

Her most recent employer was John H. Whitaker Place in Penacook, N.H. She loved working there, and she was heart broken to give up her position due to her illness.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 28 years, Dennis VanDeParre of Webster, N.H.; her father and stepmother, John and Jean Polland of Casco; mother and stepfather, Sandra and Leonard Tyrell of Fryeburg; mother-in-law, Mary VanDeParre of Bow, N.H.; sisters, Molly Polland and family of Sebago and Amy Chaplin and family of Harrison; brother, Laurice Strother and family of Fort Meade, Md.; stepsisters, Julie Senter and family of Standish and Shelley Morse and family of Kennebunk; stepbrothers, Christopher Waugh of Florida, and Peter Waugh of Blue Hill; sister-in-law, Cheryl Smith and family of Massachusetts; aunts and uncles of Maine, and nieces, nephews of Maine, Maryland, and Massachusetts.

A special thank you to her best friend of many years, Jacqui Gilman of Allenstown, N.H., who assisted Rebecca during her illness.
