AUBURN – Mary Ann Wearing of Auburn would like to announce the engagement of her daughter, Sara Helen Quinn, to Robert Roy Hammill, son of Walt and Jean Hammill of Marion, Iowa.
Miss Quinn is a 1998 graduate of Lyndon State College and a 2007 graduate of Shenandoah University. She is currently an assistant principal at a public high school in Virginia.
Mr. Hammill is a 1997 graduate of Wartburg College and a 2000 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. He is currently finishing is doctorate at the University of Virginia and working as an assistant professor at Bridgewater College.
The couple was introduced through friends in New Hampshire in 2003. They became engaged on June 29, 2007. They are planning a July wedding in New Hampshire.
