TILTON, N.H. (AP) – A police chase through five New Hampshire towns ended when the suspect ran out of gas.

Police said 23-year-old Stuart Parker of Tilton refused to stop while speeding in Sanbornton this week. They said he drove through Tilton, Northfield, Belmont and Gilford before running out of gas. Police said Parker ran from his car and had to be stopped by a police dog.

They said Parker had a suspended license and was being sought on theft charges and possession of an altered inspection sticker.

He was charged with a number of traffic violations as well as resisting arrest.
