LAGRANGE (AP) – A 34-year-old man is being held on a murder charge in the death of his wife in LaGrange.

State police arrested Jeremy Hart of LaGrange at a convenience store in Searsport last night. Hart is charged with the death of 25-year-old Kristin Smart Hart, who was found Thursday night in the home where they lived with their three children, ages 2, 6 and 9.

Hart was taken to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor and is scheduled to make his first court appearance tomorrow.

Police are not releasing any additional details about their investigation, but say Smart’s death is a domestic violence homicide.
