LIVERMORE – The Comprehensive Planning Committee is seeking input from community members on their vision for the town.
The idea session begins at 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Livermore Elementary School on Gibbs Mill Road, located off Route 4 and Norlands Road. It is expected to be facilitated by Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments representative Janet Pelletier.
The nine-member planning committee has been working since February on an inventory and assessment of where the town is today. The session is the first step in updating the comprehensive plan voters adopted in 1988, select board Administrator Assistant Kurt Schaub said Monday.
The purpose of the session is to get a wide variety of opinions on what is special about the town and needs to be preserved and what needs to change and be improved in years to come, according to a prepared statement from committee Chairman Rob Boothby.
The more citizens who participate, the better the product will be, Boothby said.
