LEWISTON – Robert “Moe” M. Cyr Sr., 66, a resident of 76 Phelan St., Sabattus died unexpectedly early Monday, Dec. 3, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston, May 26, 1941, the son of Damase and Leone (Violette) Cyr. He married Judy C. Cyr on Nov. 30, 1963.

He was a very good husband and father. His family was everything to him. He loved especially spending time with his children and grandchildren, also with his his wife, coffee buddies, Leo and Big Joe and telling his many stories.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, canoeing, playing cards, driving his go-kart for Kora Karts, especially driving his dump truck.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, the Sabattus Volunteer Fire Department, Webster Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Sabattus, Kora Shrine Temple, where he was a member of Kora Karts.

Survivors include his wife, Judy, of Sabattus; two daughters, Rose M. Cyr of Sabattus and Suzanne E. Cyr Davies and her husband, Steven, of Sabattus; one son, Robert Maurice Cyr Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Sabattus; five grandchildren, Nikita and Nash Davies, Bobbie Sue Cyr, Cassie Cormier and Justine Hall; two great-grandchildren, Dominic and Zoe, all of Sabattus; one sister, Andrena Leger of San Marcos, Calif.; four brothers, Joseph “Al” Cyr of Hartford, Aurele Cyr and his wife, Rochell, of Lewiston, Rene Cyr and his wife, Flora, of Turner and Jude Cyr and his wife, Joan, of Auburn; and many beautiful nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Pricilla Gagne; and one brother-in-law, Edward Leger.
