AUBURN – Laura M. Vachon, 79, of Sabattus died Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Hospice House with her family by her side.
She was born in Connecticut, Nov. 17, 1928, the daughter of John and Yvonne (St. Lawrence) Lavigne.
She loved playing Bingo and Canasta, tending her flower garden, her cat, “Angel,” but most of all she loved her family. She will be remembered for her bright smile, her sense of humor, and all the hearts she touched. She was truly a special lady, and was loved by all.
Survivors include her longtime companion, Norman Crowley of Sabattus; her daughters, Janet Elliott and her husband, Rodney, of Oxford and Kim Hayman and her companion, Mike Herrick, of Wales; her sons, Robert Vachon and his companion, Ruth, Marc Vachon, and Jamie Vachon and his companion, Kelly Grover, all of Wales; 20 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; her son, Fern Vachon; her grandson, Robert Vye; one brother; and five sisters.
