LIVERMORE – Gerald R. Burnham, 85, of Livermore, died at his home on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

He was born in Livermore Falls, Nov. 21, 1922, the son of Fred and Mary (Trask) Burnham. He worked in a local woolen mill before entering the Army in 1943. He served as a medic during World War II.

After the war, he returned to work in the textile industry, working in several mills in Maine and Massachusetts. He also worked for a time as a stonecutter for a monument company.

He enjoyed fishing in his spare time and most recently he had begun to walk closer with the Lord, and looked forward to meeting him.

He is survived by his sons, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Burnham Jr. of St. Johnsbury, Vt., Mr. and Mrs. David Burnham of Damariscotta and Mr. and Mrs. Dana Burnham of Waldoboro; his daughters, Diane Dougherty and her husband, Neil, of Easton, Pa., and Joanne Burnham of Bangor; his niece, Gerry Parlin of Livermore; his special friend, Ethel Neddemeyer; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
