BRUNSWICK – Jean Marie Casey, 39, of Palmer Street, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wis., on Feb. 24, 1968, a daughter of Roger A. and Nancy T. (Ernst) Essner.
She did her undergraduate studies at Brown University, where she earned her bachelor’s in public policy and also minored in history. She attended graduate school at Carnegie Mellon University completing studies for a master’s in public policy.
She worked at the Small Business Development Center at the University of Southern Maine, and also had worked at Generations Financial in Freeport.
She most enjoyed being a mom to her two daughters and a homemaker.
She and her family have lived in Brunswick for five years, coming from Freeport. She was a member of the First Parish Church in Brunswick.
She and Christopher Casey were married on July 22, 2000.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Grace Elizabeth and Ellen “LeiLei” Casey, both of Brunswick; her parents of Brunswick; a stepson, Jordan Christopher Casey of Auburn; a stepdaughter, Miranda Diann Casey of Auburn; two brothers, Roger Essner of Slatington, Pa., and Glenn Essner of Ellicott City, Md.; her sister, Diane McCarroll of Warminster, Pa.; her paternal grandmother, Yvonne Essner of Ormond Beach, Fla.; her maternal grandmother, Margaret Ernst of New York; and several nieces and nephews.
