LEWISTON – Cecile J. Cote, 86, a resident of 102 Campus Ave., died Tuesday, Dec. 4, at St. Margurite d’Youville Pavilion after a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston, Jan. 29, 1921, the daughter of Oswald and Lucia (Pauze) Violette. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and had been employed in the local textile industry.

She loved to go fishing, especially with her husband, Perley Cote, before he died in 1997.

She is survived by one daughter, Yvette Caouette and her companion, James Gaynor, of Lewiston; and one grandson, John Caouette of Lewiston.

Her family would like to extend their gratitude for the professional care given to her during her stay at d’Youville Pavilion.
