POLAND – Carlton Hunter McAllister Jr., 61, of Poland died Thursday, Dec. 6, after a long illness.

He was born in Lewiston on Sept. 22, 1946, the son of Carlton H. and Margaret Vye McAllister Sr. He attended schools in Poland and Mechanic Falls. He had been employed at Gould and Scammon in Auburn in the 1980s. He later worked at Lashin’s Auto Sales. He had a love of cars and liked to tinker on them.

He is survived by his soulmate of 23 years, Donna Ingalls of Poland; a brother, Charles of Poland; two sisters, Cynthia Ward of South Paris and Christine McBean of Oxford; and several nieces and nephews.
