LEWISTON – Francoise E. Boucher, 87, a longtime resident of 86 Hackett St., Lewiston, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, with her loving family by her side at d’Youville Pavilion after a sudden illness.

She was born in St. Georges de Beauce, P.Q., Canada, on Nov. 29, 1920, to the late Aime and Marianne (Busque) Bisson. She was educated in Canadian schools. On July 20, 1939, she married the love of her life, Armand Boucher. In 1951, they moved to Lewiston, where she was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. She worked at Crest Shoe Shop for many years while raising her four children.

She loved cooking, especially at the holidays, her famous doughnuts and Christmas cookies. She loved her “soaps” and shopping. She always looked her best. She also liked planting her flowers and trips to the ocean. She will be sadly missed by her children and family.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Armand, and a son, Guy Boucher and his wife, Connie, all of Lewiston; her daughters, Lis Welborne of Bridgton, who lost her late husband, Dave, who was adored by Francoise, Rena Sehl and her husband, Henri, and Diane Pelletier and her husband, Richard, all of Lewiston; one sister, Gloria Boily of Florida; one brother, Toussaint Bisson of Lewiston; nine grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.

A special thanks to St. Mary’s Hospital nurses in the ICU C-2, and d’Youville Pavilion for the great care given to her and her family.
