Employees at the Auburn Mall were surprised Monday to receive a letter from Nova Scotia informing them that an Auburn Mall balloon landed in Nova Scotia. The orange helium-filled balloon came down in the town of Tatamagouche, a town of approximately 600 people on the north shore of Nova Scotia, during a snowstorm on Nov. 27.

Carol Davis, marketing director at the mall, said the balloons were handed out on Halloween weekend and on the weekend of the celebration of Santa’s arrival on Nov. 26. “We’re assuming that it was (from) a Child’s World weekend on Oct. 28, 29 and 30. To travel 600 miles and to survive a snowstorm is just unbelievable,” Ms. Davis said.
