LACONIA, N.H. – Thomas Goodridge and Janet Goodrum were united in marriage Aug. 25 on the beach of Pagus Bay at Lake Winnipesaukee, Laconia, N.H.

The bride is the daughter of Sandra Goodrum of Bristol, N.H., and the late Monty Goodrum. The bridegroom, formerly of Rumford, is the son of Carol Peasley of Charlotte, N.C., and Donald Goodridge of Houlton.

The bride wore a white halter gown with sequined lace overlay, A-line silhouette with a chapel-length train. The back of the gown was accented with strings of crystals and pearls draped from the halter. The veil was hand made by the mother of the bride and was trimmed with lace from her mother’s wedding gown, adorned with white pearls. She carried 18 long-stemmed red roses wrapped in white satin ribbon.

The matron of honor was Amy Griffin of Penacook, N.H., a friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Debbie Mayers of Lyme, N.H., sister of the bride, Karen Martin of Lexington, Mass, sister of the bridegroom, and Beth Goodrum of Bristol, N.H., sister-in-law of the bride. Flower girls were MacKenzie and Caroline Martin of Lexington, Mass., nieces of the bridegroom.

The best man was Adam Doncet of Portland, Conn., friend of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Chris Larsen of Cleveland, Tenn., friend of the bridegroom, Jason Billings of Blue Hill, friend of the bridegroom, and Jeff Goodrum of Bristol, N.H., brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Joshua Doncet, son of the best man.

Pastor Scott Mitchell performed the double ring ceremony. Wally Heathcote, uncle of the bridegroom, and Kristy Williams, cousin of the bride, gave readings. The ceremony song was “If I Had One Friend Left, I’d Want it to be You.”

About 160 friends and family enjoyed a traditional turkey dinner at the Margate Resort ballroom. A four-layer marble cake was decorated with red roses and a glass crystal intertwined bride and bridegroom cake top.

The bride is employed at Concord Hospital Pulmonary Medicine as the practice manager.

The bridegroom is employed at Norwegian Cruise Line as a staff chief engineer.

The couple enjoyed a week in Bermuda and plans to make their home in Deerfield, N.H.
