SOUTH PARIS – Kara Anne Knightly and Norris Alney Stowell III were united in marriage Sept. 1 at the home of the bridegroom’s mother in South Paris. The Rev. Don Mayberry officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Stowell is the daughter of Lisa and Roger Millett of Mechanic Falls and Darrell Knightly of South Paris. Mr. Stowell is the son of Brenda Sessions of South Paris and Al and Barbara Stowell of Woodstock.

The weather that afternoon was just right and the view of the mountains set the perfect backdrop. The bride and her bridesmaids were brought in by a horse-drawn carriage. The bride was given in marriage by her mother and father.

The bride’s mother was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kadi Sweatt, cousin of the bride, Andrea Stowell, twin sister of the bridegroom, and Karen Palmer and Lisa Whittemore, friends of the bride.

Best man was the father of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Kevin Knightly, brother of the bride, and Johnathan Lawler, Travis Grant and James Ackerman, friends of the bridegroom. The black Lab of the couple, Hunter, was the ring bearer.

After the heart warming ceremony, friends and family enjoyed food prepared by Joel Kane and a wedding cake made by the bridegroom’s mother. Everyone danced and celebrated all afternoon.

The couple honeymooned in the Conway/Mt. Washington area.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Oxford Hills High School and is employed at Knopp Chiropractic Center in Norway.

The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Lake Region High School and is employed at Twin Town Homes in Oxford.
