LEWISTON – A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Francoise Boucher was held Monday at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul after prayers at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Larivierre celebrated the Mass accompanied by Brother Irenee Richard, OP. Mrs. Boucher’s children, placed the pall on the casket after the Rev. Larivierre’s greeting and blessing at the entrance to the church. During Mass, Brother Richard read the Old and New Testament readings as well as the prayer of the faithful. Grandaughters, Sarah Pelletier and Julie Ann Boucher brought the offertory gifts to the altar for communion. After a procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery Brother Richard recited committal prayers. The committal then concluded with a song “Ma Maman” by Desiree Saucier.
