BRYANT POND – Robert A. Davis, 70, of Billings Hill Road, Bryant Pond, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 9, at his home, the same home he was born in, surrounded by his family.

He was born on June 29, 1937, the son of Edgar and Lectie (Jordan) Davis. He was educated in local schools and graduated from Woodstock High School, Class of 1956.

He married Norma Stevens on Aug. 22, 1959. He worked as a mill worker most of his life, but farming was his real love. One of his many legacies is that he taught all of his children and grandchildren to drive a tractor on a 1955 Farmall Cub tractor which they still own. He loved his family very much and always had a great sense of humor.

He was a member of the Pinhook Meeting House Society, was a longtime member and deacon at the Bryant Pond Baptist Church, where he taught Junior High Sunday school for many years and was a member of the Woodstock/Greenwood Senior Citizens.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Norma Davis of Bryant Pond; two sons, Paul McInnis of Norway and Percy McInnis and his wife, Robyn, of Bryant Pond; two daughters, Carol Davis of Bryant Pond and Christine Lindsey and her husband, Kenneth, of Bryant Pond; one brother, Phillip Davis and his wife, Sonja, of Bryant Pond; five granddaughters, Amanda, Crystal, Michelle, Alyson and Kara; six great-grandsons, Lucas, Noah, Elijah, Caleb, Kyle and Bradley; one great-granddaughter, Jasmin; a second great-granddaughter, Grace is due February 2008; a nephew; and several nieces.

He was predeceased by his brother, Lloyd Davis; and sister, Emma Billings.
