It upsets me at this time of year when someone says “Happy holidays.”

What holiday is it, by the way? Do these people mean the Christmas holiday? Then why don’t they say “Happy Christmas,” or the former “Merry Christmas”?

There is more than one holiday people celebrate during the year. Do people say “Happy holiday” to all of them? Some people do, or they say “Have a nice holiday” when it’s Easter or Thanksgiving or Veterans Day. People identify which holiday it is, so let us put Christ back in Christmas and not just say “Happy holiday” now.

After all the lord Jesus suffered and died for us, the least we can do is give him the glory that is due him.

Merry Christmas to you all.
