I read with great interest the editorial on Dec. 5, “Finding and fighting the enemy within.” It was a well-defined and educated piece, to say the least.

As a Korean War veteran, the editorial was well understood and appreciated. It spoke volumes on the subject of PTSD – post-traumatic stress disorder.

Tyler Curtis of Livermore Falls, a veteran of the war in Iraq, demonstrated signs of PTSD. I have no doubt that he experienced the mental pain associated with PTSD. There also is no doubt in my mind that the eternal God, supreme commander of us all, has welcomed Curtis home, where there will be no more sorrow or pain.
