LEWISTON – Karen Sue Hudson, 59, of 24 Union St., Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at her home.

She was born in Bath on Sept. 12, 1948, the daughter of William J. and Ruth Totman Hudson. Educated in local schools, she was employed in area shoe shops as a stitcher prior to being disabled.

She will be remembered for her big, beautiful heart. Her thoughtfulness and compassion for people and animals was immeasurable, especially toward her pets, Jojo and China. She loved and helped so many others before herself. God bless her kind soul. She will be deeply missed by everyone who loved her, but her warmth and love will stay in our hearts forever.

A member of St. Joseph’s Parish, she is survived by two sons, Ralph Hudson of Plato, Mo., and John Jones of Auburn; a daughter, Bobbie Jo Lyons of Lewiston; her children’s, father, Ralph Jones of Auburn; three brothers, Richard Sr. of Lewiston, James of Auburn and John and wife, Linda, of Turner; 11 beautiful grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and too many dear friends to mention.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, William Jr., and her twin, Edward; and a nephew, Richard.
