LEWISTON – Alice C. Plourde, 86, of 303 Meadowview Apartments, Lewiston, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Lewiston on May 12, 1921, the daughter of Felix and Clothilde Blanchette Boucher. Educated locally, she was employed as a weaver by the Continental Mill for many years.
In 1948, she married Simon N. Plourde, who passed away in 1996. She loved spending time with family and friends, never missed her favorite soap operas, and was famous for her homemade tomato vegetable soup.
A member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish, she is survived by four sons, Normand of Harmony, Raymond and wife, Carol, of Las Vegas, Nev., Roland of Bremen, Ind., and Richard and wife, Debra, of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Lucille; a son, Donald; a brother, Camelio Boucher; and three sisters, Fernande Thibodeau, Laureanne Patry, and Georgette Belanger.
The family would like to thank daughter-in-law Debra for the love, care, and attention she has given Alice over the last 30 years.
