Dear Sun Spots: We ladies know that there is that certain pair of jeans that fit us great, in all the right places. Well, here is my dilemma. I have a pair of Levis 519 jeans that fit great! But my daughter or myself cannot find them anywhere. Can you please help us in our search? Our comfort is in jeopardy! Thank you so very much. – No Name, No Town.
Answer: Sun Spots hates to be the bearer of bad news, but according to Levi’s Web site, it no longer makes these jeans. There are, however, several listings on the Internet, among them on eBay and Denim Express (1-800-824-9622). In addition, Levis said a similar junior fit can be had with 518 Jeans (juniors). In addition to responses from readers, you might check out the stores for similar styles to see if they satisfy your daughter and you.
Dear Sun Spots: I’m not sure if anyone can help, but I am looking for an old picture that was printed in the Sun Journal. The date would be December 1982, or possibly 1981 or 1983. Possibly around Christmas Day or even Jan. I can give more specifics if someone thinks they can help. Please contact me through Sun Spots as I do not want to put my information on here since I am hoping to find this for a sentimental Christmas present. Thanks in advance. – Hoping in Turner.
Answer: Unfortunately there is not enough information to locate this.
Dear Sun Spots: Is there anyone in the area who takes all occasion cards? Used? I used to send them to St. Jude, but they don’t want them now. Thank you. Anyone who has some could please send them to me at Box 73, Dixfield, ME 04224. – F. Carlton, Dixfield.
Dear Sun Spots: I am looking for a bed transfer handle or assist bar. It is a u-shaped handle, about 6 inches wide by 24 high. It is mounted on a piece of plywood, which is slipped between the mattress and the box spring of a bed. This provides a stable platform to move in and out of the bed. The retail cost is more $100 but I’m sure there are some used ones out there that no one is using and would be willing to sell for a reasonable price, or donate. I may be reached at 933-2256 or 441-9108 or via e-mail at e-mail at [email protected]. – Warren Frost, No Town.
Dear Sun Spots: I am a 10-year-old girl and a fan of Tyra Banks. My family and I watch her show, and I was trying to mail a letter but the address was apparently not a real mailing address. Would you please be able to get a real fan mailing address. It would be great! Thank you. – Desperate Fan in Canton.
Answer: Consider writing to her at Box 36 East 18th, Los Angeles, CA 90036, or at Tyra Banks C/O IMG, 170 Fifth Ave., 10th Floor, New York, NY 10010.
