In the sky there was nothing but white all around. There were glints of a rainbow reflected in the little crystals of ice. The trees surrounding the clearing where I was located were covered in a thick white fluffy layer of snow. The branches looked as though they were about to snap like a tooth pick. They sagged under the extreme weight of the snow.

I could see my breath as it evaporated before my eyes. The snow tasted cold to my tongue. The air was frozen like time froze forever waiting for summer and warmer weather to thaw it out. My nose felt so cold as it inhaled the winters icy breath.

I heard tiny creatures crawl all around me just out of my eye’s reach. I stood up with some difficulty. The snow seemed determined to keep me it’s icy prisoner. “Hot chocolate!” Not even the knee deep snow could have prevented me from getting hot chocolate.
