RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Frances M. Downs was celebrated Tuesday at St. Athanasius-St. John Catholic Church. The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Ave Maria,” “Amazing Grace,” “Be Not Afraid” and “J’irai la voir un jour.” Readings were done by Nicole Donahue and Claire Hallicey. The eulogy was given by Anne Wood. Pallbearers were Michael and Brian Downs, Richard M. Donahue, Gerald Dibbern, John Anastasio and Larry Puiia. Spring interment will be in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall. Services were under the care of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home.
