JAY – Police are investigating the burglary of a Crash Road business where an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Someone entered T & L Auto, owned by Terry O’Donnell and Larry Melcher Jr., and took money, Detective Drew Hufnagel said. The break-in was reported Thursday morning.

Earlier in the morning while on patrol, officer Russell Adams spotted footprints leading to six businesses, five on Main Street and one on Hyde Road, Hufnagel said. Adams checked the businesses and it didn’t appear entry was gained to the buildings, he said.
