RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial with military honors for Francis E. Scott was celebrated Thursday St. Athanasius-St. John Catholic Church. The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “You Raise Me Up” and “Amazing Grace.” Readings were done by granddaughter Bridget Blood and grandson Billy Scott. A poem was read by daughter-in-law Valerie Scott. Pallbearers were his six sons, William, Raymond, Allen, Bobby, Larry and Kenneth Scott. Spring interment will be in St. John Cemetery.
