OXFORD – An Oxford man was injured Thursday night when he lost control of his pickup truck near his home on Robinson Hill Road and struck a tree, Patrolman Christopher Knight said.
Matt Campbell, 33, of 41 Robinson Hill Road suffered a dislocated or broken shoulder in the evening crash but refused immediate medical attention, the officer said. The 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was being driven toward Mechanic Falls when it hit a tree, which flattened a tire, then struck a mailbox before continuing on, he said.
Campbell reported he is on medication, Knight said, and that may have been a factor in the accident. No charges were brought. The truck sustained about $2,000 damage.
Mechanic Falls police assisted Knight.
