AUBURN – Robert and Evelyn Spencer of Auburn were honored July 14 at a party at the Lewiston Lodge of Elks, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple was married April 27, 1957. The event was held in July to enable distant friends and relatives to attend.
Attending were a daughter, Linda Detwyler, and her husband, Robert, and granddaughter, Serena; son, Ronald, and his wife, Peggy, daughters, Patricia and Judith, her partner, Michael, and grandchildren, Chris, Lillian and Owen. Other attendees traveled from Massachusetts and Cape Cod.
Guests of honor included flower girl, Lori Douglas, maternal matriarch, Edith Stevens, and paternal matriarch, Flora Bolesta.
A buffet lunch was served. The couple later vacationed in South Carolina.
